SOMA has a new logo! The SOMA symbol was designed by COL (Ret.) Jim Coy and incorporates the caduceus, the rod of Asclepius and the Special Forces crest to produce a winged serpent wrapped around the Fairborn-Sykes dagger with crossed arrows from the Special Forces crest. The green beret symbolizing Army Special Forces is prominently featured with the US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) beret flash and Special Forces Crest. This was the flash and crest worn by the founders of SOMA at the time of its creation.
